Mayor Vilius Navickas
Mr. Vilius Navickas was born on 14 October 1959 in Lithuania. In 2009 February Mr. Navickas was elected as a Mayor of Vilnius City Council. He graduated from the Gediminas Technical University with a background of Mechanic Engineering in 1982. Professional career. During 1982-1991 he held a Vehicle Technical Maintenance Inspector position at the State Road Transport Inspectorate. In 1991-2003 Mr. Navickas was a director of VEDA Ltd., in 2003 he was an advisor/consultant of Euroklubas Ltd. (production and supply of electronic and electric components).
Between 2005 and 2009 February Mr. Navickas was a director of Euro-Construct Ltd. Since 2007 April he is a member of the Vilnius City Council and a Chairman of Economic and Financial Committee. Since 2003 Mr. Navickas is a member of the Homeland Union - Lithuanian Christian Democtrats, Vilnius City branch.
Languages: Lithuanian, English, Russian and Polish.
Mr. Navickas is married and has two children. His interests are travelling, music and theatre, sports.
